Peter Twongyeirwe is an experienced Ugandan accounting and finance professional with over ten years of progressive experience in financial management, auditing, taxation, and organizational administration. He has worked across health services, professional audit firms, and national sports institutions, supporting both private and public sector operations in Uganda. His work focuses on strong financial controls, compliance with international standards, and practical support to management decision making.

Peter is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA Level III, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Diploma in Business Administration. He also holds certificates in Occupational Health and Safety Management and Sports Administration.

He currently serves as a Project Finance Officer at the Uganda Olympic Committee, where he supports annual financial planning, prepares project and operational budgets, and translates program activities into financial plans. He manages payroll, monitors tax compliance in line with Uganda Revenue Authority requirements, and tracks project expenditures against approved budgets and donor agreements. His role ensures accountability and proper use of project funds while supporting program teams to deliver results.

Previously, Peter worked as an Audit Executive at Ronye Associates, where he handled internal and external audits for diverse clients. He prepared IFRS compliant financial statements, conducted risk assessments, reviewed internal controls, and led audit engagements from planning to reporting. He also mentored junior staff and prepared management letters highlighting control weaknesses and improvement actions.

He also served as Finance Manager at Promise Medical Centre, where he managed budgets, cash flow, financial reporting, procurement controls, and administrative systems. He advised senior management on financial planning, ensured compliance with policies, and strengthened financial systems to support service delivery. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Accounts Assistant at Shinelong Uganda Limited, gaining strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, receivables management, audit support, and business analysis. Peter is also skilled in computerized accounting and auditing systems, including QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Iris, and CaseWare.
