The “Guide for Safe School Zone Infrastructure” is a comprehensive document developed to address the
critical issue of road safety around school zones in Uganda. The guide aims to mitigate the high incidence of road traffic crashes involving school children by providing detailed guidelines for planning, designing, and implementing safe school zones. This initiative aligns with Uganda’s National Road Safety Action Plan, which targets a 25% reduction in road traffic deaths and injuries by 2026. by STASSU.
