Atwine Edmond
Logistics Officer/Administrative Officer
Edmond Atwine is a Ugandan road safety and logistics professional with over four years of hands-on experience in road safety research, project implementation, logistics coordination, and community engagement. He has worked closely with government institutions, international NGOs, and development partners to improve road safety outcomes, especially for children and vulnerable road users in Uganda.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Uganda Christian University. He has also completed several specialized short courses in road safety and occupational health, including training with iRAP, the FIA Foundation Star Rating for Schools, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and transport and logistics research programs.
He has served as a Team Leader with Youth for Road Safety, where he led a project promoting non motorised transport in Kampala. He coordinated with city leaders, engaged schools and communities, conducted rapid assessments with young people, and led awareness campaigns that reached thousands of children and youths. The project combined field engagement with digital advocacy to increase public understanding of safe walking and cycling.
Edmond also works as a Researcher at URRENO and supported accountability initiatives on 30 km per hour zones, engaged with government officials, contributed to advocacy planning, and documentation lessons to strengthen policy implementation. In addition, he worked as a Data Collector for the World Bank on the Safe Journeys to Schools project, focusing on road safety and gender-based violence risks affecting school children.
